Pathlitics Secures National Funding to Improve Postsecondary Pathways for Students with Learning Differences
Philadelphia, PA – October 15, 2024 – Pathlitics today announced that it was selected to receive a significant unrestricted grant to expand its work empowering students with learning differences (LDs) in optimizing their postsecondary paths. The funding will broaden Pathlitics’ distribution to U.S. high schools and accelerate product development.
“Pathlitics is thrilled to receive this validation from NewSchools,” said Amy Kopelman, Founder and CEO of Pathlitics. “NewSchools has been a thought leader in reimagining education over the last decade. Their focus on postsecondary pathways for students with learning differences and conviction in Pathlitics’ mission will have a profound impact on shaping the future of students with LDs. I look forward to NewSchools’ guidance and learning from the cohort of grantees.”
Over 20% of the population has learning disabilities, and this number is growing. High school counselors are struggling to keep up with increasing caseloads as well as the multitude of options available to graduating students with learning disabilities. The Pathlitics platform will arm students, their counselors, and families with deeper insights and authentic, first-hand reviews of colleges, gap-year programs, vocational schools, and jobs. In doing so, Pathlitics will enable students to better identify their next best fit and, ultimately, alter the trajectory of students with LDs.
